NORFOLK'S HIDDEN HERITAGE

NNREC have received a grant of £50,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to deliver an exciting new project entitled, 'Norfolk's Hidden Heritage'.

The aim of the project is to commemorate the bi-centenary of the 1807 Parliamentary Act, which abolished the trans-Atlantic slave-trade.

We have appointed Dr. Richard Maguire as the Project Researcher on a full-time basis for 6 months. Richard will be based at the Archive Centre and his research findings willl form the basis of the project.
